BIOGRAPHY:
I was born in a little town called Lindsay, Ontario, north east of Toronto but when I was five years old, my parents decided to move back to Montreal. Photography has been a big part of my life as I was introduced to it by my uncles and my father at a very young age. My interest continued throughout school right up to my first year of college. I decided to switch to computer science and worked in that field for 12-13 years before returning to photography. Luckily, this changeover happened just as photography went digital and I was able to combine both passions. In 2004, I got my first DSLR, a Minolta 7D. Soon after, I became a second shooter for a well-established wedding photographer. I also found work with a corporate photographer. I started at Gosselin Photo in late 2014 as a salesman in the camera department and then became an instructor of photography. Now I am the manager of their photography services although I am still enjoying shooting all types of images. On October 23, A.J. will share with us his process for his Black & White photography. He will show us from capture to print using the Zone System, Lightroom and Nik Software's Silver Efex 2.0 plug-in. |
