​To a club member for their outstanding service, of a non-photographic nature, to the Montreal Camera Club over a period of years.  

When discussing candidates for the Volunteer Trophy this year, a review of the trophy indicated that the  names of two long time supporters of the club were missing. The question was how to select to whom the award should first be given without seeming to insult to the other. The final decision was to make the award to both members but with the stated understanding that this was for their individual efforts.
 
For 2014-2015, the Volunteer trophy is awarded to Barbara Deans and Kathryn Mason for their individual services to supporting and administering the club over a significant period of years.
 
Barbara Deans has been a club member of the Montreal Camera Club since 1961. As well as being a multiple trophy winner, she has worked continuously in providing and hosting educational seminars and workshops for members. She was the CAPA representative for many years when the club actively participated in CAPA competitions. She has been President of the club at least twice and for the last two years has worked to publicize the Montreal Camera club in the local media. She has continued to provide the executive with guidance as a “past-president”.
 
Kathryn Mason has been a club member since 1974. As well as being a multiple trophy winner particularly in Nature, she has presented her work on numerous occasions to the members benefit. She has been president at least three times over her period of membership as well as holding many other posts. She is presently Treasurer and Judging and Standards Chairman. Kathryn, a lawyer by profession, has provided valuable guidance to the club over many years. She has generously and regularly hosted the club at her home in the country for an autumn outing.
 
It is through the efforts of our members exemplified by Barbara and Kathryn that the club has survived and prospered over its long existence. We look to all our members to help maintain the tradition of mutual support that makes the Montreal Camera Club successful.
