• 12h40 : Competition  Class
• 12h50 : Ladies Elite Class
• 13h00 : Sport Class

Maximum time for each race is 2h30 hour.

Description of Outing:
More than 40 boats will take to the St-Lawrence’s icy waters in the Old Port for the eight annual Montreal Ice Canoe Challenge. In teams of five, rowers lean one leg on a support inside the boat. The other leg is outside the boat and digs into the jagged ice with a spiked boot. Come take photos and cheer on the athletes and courageous participants, an extreme sport Québecers love.

Parc de Dieppe (formerly Cité-du Havre), 3400 Pierre-Dupuy Ave, Montréal, Québec H3C 3R6,
Parking:  free parking area under the bridge

Meeting Location:
On the north side of the park (view to the Old Port), down the stairs near the washrooms

Level of difficulty:   Short walk but stairs and snowy/ icy conditions are possible

Suggestions on what to bring:

• Long and medium telephoto lens (70-200mm)
• Tripod optional

Clothing: Dress accordingly for the cold weather.
