Dear members,
The restrictions imposed on Montreal since COVID Condition Red was declared to not forbid people from walking on public streets while wearing masks and practicing social distancing. This has been confirmed by contacting the authorities.
However, we feel that we must re-jig the manner in which we hold our outings in order to keep you safe and to be responsible citizens. Here is how we plan to do Outings until gatherings are clearly permitted.
We hope that in this way those members who do want to go out to shoot can enjoy a photography opportunity while staying safe in the outdoors.

- The Outing Chairs will send a reminder about our planned activity with a link to a preliminary WebEx meeting.
- In the online meeting, any techniques needed will be explained (e.g. night shooting, shooting high-speed subjects such as airplanes, etc.).
- Participants will be sent a map for the activity.
- There will be no group meeting on the outing date/time, but rather participants will shoot as individuals (or with a bubble-buddy) in their own time over the weekend (or over a two-day period surrounding the originally planned start time). Of course, all participants will be reminded to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
- The participants will be requested to send in their best shots to Rachel, our Webmaster, on the Monday (or on the day) following the shooting period.
We hope that in this way those members who do want to go out to shoot can enjoy a photography opportunity while staying safe in the outdoors.

Outings are a great way for you to get out taking pictures. All the arrangements are made for you, so you just need to show up or register if required. We choose locations and situations we think will be of interest to most members and try to provide a broad range of subjects. There are always several experienced members attending the trips who are very helpful if you need advice or have questions. Join us for fun and easy going experience photographing unusual and often unique subjects. Outings are open to club members and friends. Studio Outings for Club members only.
